Reverend Linda M. J. Harvey was ordained by the late Bishop Milton A. Williams, presiding prelate of the Mid-Atlantic II Baltimore/Washington Conference.  During her fifteen year tenure, she served as a Christian Education Director, Superintendent of Church school, Local and District Missionary Director, District Officer for Mid-Atlantic II Baltimore/Washington Conference.  As a District Officer, she organized and participated on the District and Conference Praise and Worship Team.  She was a zealous member of the John Wesley A.M.E. Zion Church participating in various administrative, cultural arts and outreach assignments in East Baltimore.  Reverend Harvey is a member of the City of Hope International Worship Centre in Columbia, Maryland where Bishop Joseph A. McCargo is the Visionary, Founder and Apostolic covering for FOFMI.  At City of Hope, Reverend Harvey served as the Director for Women of Excellence Ministry, Director of Community Outreach and Interim Pastor.     

 

Reverend Harvey is a licensed mentor with Maryland Mentors and Partnership,   Crisis Volunteer for TURNAROUND/W.A.V.E. (Women Against Violence Everywhere);  Chaplain for "Sister's Saving the City", a member of East Baltimore Transformation Team, Volunteer Coorindator for Somebody Cares Organization and active volunteer for the Maryland Rescue and Restore Coalition (The Samaritan Women) in Catonsville, Maryland.   Reverend Harvey is the visionary/founder of Fragrance of Faith Ministry.  She is an anointed teacher and preacher; youth advocate and Domestic Violence Educator.  She is the recipient of many awards inclusive of the 2009 Baltimore City Mayor's Community Award, 2010 East Baltimore District Police Department Award, 2010 U.S. Military Award for Professional Service, 2011 O&M Service Award", 2011 DAYS OF HOPE/East Baltimore Community Outreach and Leadership Award.  On December 17th, the ministry was presented with a 2011 Mayor's Community Service Award and Service Award for Domestic Violence Education for Reverend Harvey.  

 

In June 2010, FOFMI introduced "Celebrating Sister's" monthly fellowship in Pikesville and the Tuesday night Sister Strength teleconferences (with was refurbished in 2012 as KINGDOM WOMEN Teleconference).   The theme for 2011, "NOW, it's your time to move in God (II Corinthians 6:1-2).  The "Birthing Room" was developed and launched in Feburary 2011 - guest presenters, unique worship, business to business networking and social issues are highlighted.  FOFMI introduced two new arms of the ministry "Beautiful Me" Self Awareness and Etiquette Program for Youth and "PROJECT CARE" (Christ Arms Reaching Everyone). 

 

In 2012, the ministry will introduce "The Healing Room" a safe haven for biblical instruction and mentorship for those recovering from domestic violence and self esteem issues. 

 

Reverend Harvey matriculated at the Faith Bible College (Detroit), Arlington Bible College (Woodlawn) and continuing per professional studies at the Owens & Minor University (Hanover) and Chesapeake Bible College.  Reverend Harvey is a published poet, song writer and actress with Dramatic Change Productions.  She was a featured guest on “Healing the Wounded Heart”, "The Gathering", "Living in Phenomenal Health", "Women of God/Soar Broadcast" and LIVE Worship television broadcasts.  She was also featured on the new Christian internet radio broadcast "BUZZ About It".  Reverend Harvey is a featured writer for SOAR Magazine and working will be published along with other authors for a new book on "prayer" in June 2012.  She is a proud mother of an honor student, ballerina and model.
